Pioneered the commercial deployment of cold weather remote sodar, hub height weather stations, mesomapping and the use of GIS in wind and solar farm design and development.
Has led sustainability initiatives by collaborating with industry professionals to promote clean energy technologies across eastern Ontario. Omar also spearheaded an energy and sustainability division in Alberta, where he planned the launch of energy auditing and solar design services.
Leveraging a background in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering (working toward his P.Eng.), Omar has spent several years in his current role managing grid operator connections, regulatory approvals, permitting, project budgets, and schedules.
A decade of proven expertise in grid-scale solar development and agrivoltaics, with successful projects in Canada and the UK. As a board member for Agrivoltaics Canada representing British Columbia, he has championed innovative solutions at the food and renewable energy intersection. Jeremy led Mitacs-funded agrivoltaic prototype projects in the Okanagan, collaborating closely with Indigenous partners and is currently driving new projects in British Columbia.
Jeremy is an avid distance runner and lives in the Okanagan.
